Now is the Time to Upgrade!

SaaS applications like Link Services are updated continuously rather than every few months under scheduled downtime. There is only one production version in use (with client-specific configurations), increasing development and testing velocity by dedicating resources on enhancements and innovation rather than backwards compatibility. Feature delivery is further accelerated through a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline only possible with an application designed for cloud native deployment. Administrator tools in Link Services allow users to manage their own custom field labels, test programs, test groups, test analytes, specifications/limits, and other configuration parameters. The software provides enhanced user management for more granular roles and permissions, improved supply chain management, and advanced data visualization tools. Link manages Bills of Materials across the supply chain, and allows the user to create test requests from BoMs. With its modern, responsive interface, Link provides a better user experience and supports more advanced browser features and standards.

How to Upgrade to Link
Upgrading from RSL*Insight or other C*Insight systems into LINK follows the same process as onboarding a new client. Your project manager will provide an Excel spreadsheet template for you to load data from your current database. Export scripts facilitate this process. This is the perfect opportunity to perform some "data scrubbing" — removing inactive suppliers, users, labs, etc. — so your LINK configuration accurately reflects the current state of your operation and supply chain. Whether or not you are an AFIRM member, you can visualize the process here.

We will manage the project under a Scope of Work, which will outline the project objectives, resource commitments, and estimated costs and timeline. Contact your project manager to initiate the project, beginning with a "gap analysis" that summarizes your existing C*Insight implementation and what is needed to make sure all existing functionality, including customizations, will be maintained through the upgrade to LINK.
